Yoga is more than just poses; it's a holistic practice that integrates physical postures (asanas), breathing techniques (pranayama), and meditation to create a union of mind, body, and spirit. It's a journey of self-discovery, building strength, flexibility, and inner peace. It's about connecting with your breath, moving with intention, and finding balance both on and off the mat.
Meditation is a practice of quieting the mind and focusing on the present moment. It can help reduce stress, increase mindfulness, and improve overall well-being.
Modern witchcraft is a diverse and evolving spiritual practice that draws from a variety of sources, including ancient pagan traditions, folk magic, and contemporary spiritual movements. It's less about pointy hats and bubbling cauldrons (though those can be fun too!) and more about connecting with the natural world, honoring the cycles of the seasons, and working with energy to manifest your intentions. It’s deeply personal, and there's no one "right" way to be a witch. Some focus on herbalism and healing, others on divination and spellwork, and still others on devotional practices to deities or spirits. It can be solitary or practiced in groups. For many, it's a path of self-discovery, empowerment, and living in harmony with the earth.
I call myself a yoga witch because I infuse my yoga practice with magick. I do yoga flows that align with the phases of the moon and time of the year. I choose asana that correspond with the intention of my working. I use crystals and incense to enhance my practice.
