Code of Ethics: Concerning Reiki
Here at Savannas Crystal Reiki Healing I take privacy, seriously. To this end, I adhere to a code of ethics and confidentiality. Code of Ethics: -Contractual Clarity. The practitioner is to maintain clarity of the intention of this practice and services with the client; that its intentions are for the highest good in health & in potential. The practitioner is to speak clearly about what the client should expect in a session & be provided with written descriptions of what a session entails. Information about the length of a session as well as the cost, level of training and confidentiality are also to be included. During consultation and discussion with the client, expectations of time, cost are also to be discussed. Make clear: Reiki is not a cure. There are no Magic Wand cures for anything. But Reiki as a complimentary health practice is part of a larger integrative wellness program No client is to be turned away on the premise of Gender, Sexual Orientation, Sex, Race, Religion, or Political Affiliation. That said, Practitioner may refuse service based upon personal safety and/ or other reasons: such as client displays sexual advances, intoxication, aggression, being overly tardy. If the practitioner does refuse services to a client, the reason(s) for the refusal must be made clear to the client, and logged in the practice's book keeping. Practitioner is to keep to one practice at a time. For example, practitioner is a reiki master, but also a trained Shaman. Practitioner is NOT to perform reiki, then start working shamanic arts on the client WITHOUT CONSENT. Any additional practices are to be discussed first (If asked about.) The practitioner is expected to provide the same level of professionalism, regardless if the client pays or the practitioner volunteers their time. -Work Environment/ Premise. The health and well-being of the client is my prime consideration. It is up to the practitioner to establish and offer a comfortable and safe area for all sessions and work to make the space as empowering and supportive for all clients The space offered and used by the practitioner is to be up to date on all fire, and building codes. Make sure that all codes are upheld and are compliant with local ordinances. The space is to be kept clean both before a session, and the proper time to clean/ cleanse the space between sessions is also to be considered. -Professional Relationship & Practice Standards. The relationship between the practitioner and the client is to be of the highest standards. The client not only looks for peace and calm, but also look to the practitioner's professionalism as an embodiment of safety and security. It is vital that the practitioner act with integrity, care, and demonstrate the correct level of skill. Practitioner is to always treat their client with dignity, grace. The client is entitled to truth, confidentiality and respect for their dignity. The client has the right to accept or refuse any of the services provided. The practitioner is forbidden from practicing reiki if the practitioner is compromised through intoxication or if the mental faculties are lessened for any reason. The practitioner is forbidden from offering any mind altering substances or alcohol to the client as it breaks professionalism and trust. The practitioner is not to take advantage of the client financially, sexually, emotionally. Practitioners are not to ask the clients to remove their clothing during a session; similarly the practitioner must use hands off techniques if the treatable areas are the client's groin or breasts. The practitioner must ask permission from the client in order to use hands on approach. Once permission is gained, practitioner must use light touch - not rubbing, messaging. Practitioner is forbidden from engaging in sexual activity with a client or enter a relationship with a client. Practitioner must ensure that they're above reproach & must not interfere in the client's personal affairs. Practitioner must not offer reiki in place of conventional medical or voluntary treatment or care. Reiki works alongside conventional medical or voluntary care, it does not replace it. Practitioners of Reiki cannot make medical diagnosis. If the client asks for medical advice, practitioner must direct the client to a medical professional. Practitioners never should recommend a client substitute conventional medical treatment for reiki services. Practitioner cannot prescribe medication, sell remedies, or health products as part of the practice. Practitioner is to be sensitive of the boundary needs of each individual client. Practitioner will not refuse services without justifiable cause. Reason include conflict of interest between the client of relation of the client and the practitioner in a way that threatens professionalism and the professional relationship; illegal, fraudulent, unjust actions taken or purposed by the client. Practitioner must recognize the limits of their knowledge and to not agree to a service that they have no training for. Practitioners shall dress in an professional manner that is conducive to holistic healing. Personal hygiene, clean clothing, and being well-groomed is a must. -Confidentiality.Practitioner takes a vow of confidentiality. Any information discussed in a session is confidential between client and practitioner. Practitioner should consider holding accurate and up-to-date records of their meetings and sessions with the client. These records should include the date of the session and details of any treatment provided and any relevant notes from the session. This includes all sessions regardless of the medium of the session i.e., a session given in person, distantly on the phone, via email or via a video calling tool such as Zoom. Records should be stored in a secure location and must be considered confidential. At the time that the practitioner choses to retire from Reiki Practices, all confidential records should be disposed confidentially. Upon untimely demise of a client, records must be disposed of confidentially. -Personal PrinciplesPractitioners should value their own self-care, mental and physical health. Practitioners should understand that self-treatments are an important part of their Reiki journey. Practitioners should hold themselves accountable for maintaining professional standards in practice. The Practitioner should be conscious of their professional limitations and be prepared to refer a client elsewhere if they do not feel they have the experience, knowledge or training to assist. Practitioner should not practice in person when they are sick.Practitioner should continually make an effort to improve their knowledge and professional skills. They should also encourage the public to become educated and informed about the practice and teaching of Reiki and about the development of a wellness lifestyle in general. Practitioner should Act as a shining light for Reiki in their community by providing excellent professional service. Practitioner should actively work on their own healing so as to embody and fully express the essence of Reiki in everything that you do. RHA Members strive to provide the highest quality Reiki experience and abide by the Reiki Healing Association Code of Ethics.
Online Consultation: Concerning Reiki
Thank you for your interest in Usui Reiki Energy Healing. I am Savanna, Reiki Practitioner, and this brief summary goes over the details and information you'll receive in your consultation meeting. But before detailing how sessions will be conducted, here is a brief detail of what Reiki is, versus what Reiki is not. What Reiki Is. Reiki is a healing energy that the practitioner directs into the client which promotes the body to heal itself. Reiki is based on the notion that all humans have energy fields, life force, or Auras all around us. In fact everything in the world has an energy to it. A practitioner or master of Reiki acts as a conduit who allows cosmic, divine, or holy energy to flow into them and through them; direct that energy into the client to help the recipient's body heal itself. According to the practice, physical, mental, and emotional issues can occur if a person's quality of energy is low or becomes blocked. As an energy healing technique, a Reiki Master or Practitioner uses gentle hand movements with the intention to guide the flow of healthy energy through the client's body to reduce stress and promote healing. When it comes to the use of Reiki there are two primary methods of delivery to the client: hands on - which is physical contact (touching) the client's person in the desired location where the dis ease is located. OR there is hands off - where the master or practitioner will not touch the client in any capacity in order to transmit Reiki to the client. The client may feel this energy as a warmth that soothes the targeted area, bringing about a feeling of calm. At the same time; there is a healthy amount of misinformation about Reiki and how far it extends. What Reiki Isn't Because Reiki doesn’t have verifiable evidence that it proves that it works, it is classified as a Pseudo-Scientific practice similar to other forms of faith based healing practices. While Reiki *is* recognized as a complimentary health practice: it is NOT a viable substitute for contemporary medical need or mental health needs that require trained professional of the field. If you're experiencing a Medical Emergency; Please Call 911. Reiki is classified as a complimentary alternative healing practice. As a practitioner of Reiki, I am not a licensed physician. Ethically and By Law, I cannot: -Claim Reiki is a cure, or can cure.-Make Medical Diagnoses-Prescribe Medications-Sell or suggest any OTC supplements or mind altering substances-Take X- Rays-Perform or provide any labs-Perform surgeries of any kind-Or any other services found in traditional & specialized medical fields. As a practitioner, I am NOT able to make claims (as listed above) under strict Codes of Ethics, and under CA State Law: CA SB-577. At Most: Depending on what is discussed in the consultation, I may recommend seeking out a medical or psychological professionals for assistance and care. Reiki is NOT a viable substitute for conventional medical care. What to look forward to in each session. It is my aim to treat each person who comes to me with respect and grace as a human being and a worldly sibling (See nondiscrimination policy.) To this end, it is my goal to offer a safe and peaceful space where the practitioner and the client can relax and find their calm. The specific of the "spa like" environment is Celtic, soothing and slow Celtic music coupled with calming environmental soundscapes on low. The initial meeting of a new client includes a consultation of what the client is looking for as a service, and if it is within the scope that reiki relates, the session will begin immediately after. A session begins at 15min per visit: but a session can be longer if the client requests it. Client sits on the message chair (or lies on a message bed) while I place my hands over the targeted area. I use the hands off method, so the hands will not touch the client; this does not affect the delivery of the healing energy to the targeted area. Upon the completion of the session, the use of selenite wire wrapped wand will be waved around the client to purify the body as the Reiki connections close. Right after, I; with the client, will schedule the next session (if any are required)
Concerning The Tarot
Tarot has been a tool used by practitioners and occultists for centuries. Throughout it's history it's been use to foretell fortunes, make choices that have massive consequences involved. In today's day and age, thanks to the strict teachings and demonization by the Catholic Church, and to many the Tarot elicits a specific mental image or disdain as an occult and sinful practice used by witches and con artists.
Tarot is still used today, though it's use is more in helping a person make choices in their lives or offer clarity as opposed to helping the development of nations and kings. But Tarot still has its uses. Like here in this state: Tarot is an Entertainment Service only and needs to be treated as Entertainment only. Any person or persons that take what the Tarot say seriously is not a reflection of the Entertainment service nor the person offering: instead anything that the Tarot says in regards to a persons personal circumstance, any reflections or similarities is purely coincidental and taken with a grain of salt.
Here at Savanna's Crystal Reiki Healing, the Tarot is seen as a mirror, a reflection of the querent and the readings are an investigation into the mind and psyche of the querent. Any God, Gods, Divine, or Spirit association to the outcome of the reading is something that SCRH does not attribute, but will not diminish or dismiss that attribution if the querent attribute any into the reading.
By reading this, you acknowledge and affirm that you seek these services and responsibility for any answers or readings provided of your own accord. You acknowledge and affirm that any answer or clarity provided in the reading may or may not relate to your circumstance is random and coincidental at best. By reading this, you acknowledge and affirm that you may not get the reading you are seeking in the first place, and you affirm that you may not be satisfied in the first place. By reading this, you acknowledge and affirm that should you receive an unsatisfactory reading or entertainment experience, you will not blame, or tale your frustration out on the reader offering the entertainment.
As a rule of the house: here at SCRH I understand that readings are subjective and may not contain an answer or clarify the matter with the querent at all. All readings provided must meet two criteria to be deemed as successful: 1. The contents of the reading must be clear enough to answer the querent’s question with reasonably in a manner that the querent feels that the cards provided the service they sought in the first place. 2. The contents of the reading along with the presentation of the message the cards illude to must entertain enough to leave a feeling of satisfaction in conjunction with the message that the cards illude to being accurate enough to answer the querent's question within reason.
If the contents of the reading does not meet one or either of these conditions, the reading will have not been an entertaining experience to the querent. Here at SCRH if the client or querent is un satisfied and not getting their money’s worth in entertainment through the reading, the reader will not charge the client for the reading.
If the reading is accurate in it's answer to answer the querents question within reason, and the message of the cards is entertaining enough to leave a feeling of satisfaction with the querent, the reader may charge the querent at the end of the session at the current fixed price for the Entertainment service.
